beauty brains biceps is a nail salon
and library curated around the topic
of muscular women and their
relationship with glamour. The
exhibition showcased a curated
library of Victorian strongwomen
and modern-day female bodybuilders,
hand sculptures with six-pack nails
and a nail service, a zine about
manicures and manual labour, a
video installation featuring short clips
from female bodybuilding
competitions from the 80’s, an
installation of a cardboard figure,
and large-scale prints of female
bodybuilders.
